Gionee F100, F103B, S5 Smartphones with 4G VoLTE Launched in China

Almost two months after launching the high-end Gionee S8 & W909 devices, the company launched two entry-level smartphones along with one mid-ranger. The Gionee F100 and F103B sports a chrome finished frame with plastic back cover while the Gionee S5 comes with an all metal body. All the three devices run on customized Amigo 3.1 UI based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. A new device with the model number GN9012 is spotted on TENAA, which might also launch soon in China.

Gionee F100

The Gionee F100 priced at 599 Yuan is most affordable device among the three. It sports a highly reflective glossy back finish. The device features a 5-inch IPS display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution. It is powered by MediaTek MT6735 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz and includes just 1GB of RAM. There is 16GB of storage that can be expanded upto 128GB via MicroSD card.

Gionee F100 1

In the camera department, it has a 5MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front camera. The device is kept powered on by a 2,400mAh battery that is rated to deliver 18 hours of talk time and lasts upto 279 hours on standby. It comes with dual SIM dual standby, and connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. It measures 143.7 x 70.5 x 8.1 mm and weighs 151 grams.

Gionee F103B

The Gionee F103B is the same Gionee F100 but comes with better camera sensors. The interchangeable back covers with textured finish make it look different from Gionee F100. At a slightly higher price, the F103B comes with a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera instead of the 5MP and 2MP camera set up on F100. Both the devices share the same display, processor, RAM, and storage.

Gionee F103B

The device is powered by a the same 2,400mAh battery but is mentioned to provide better battery life. It is rated to deliver 20 hours of talk time lasts upto 470 hours on standby. The F103B measures 8.5mm thickness while the F100 is 0.4mm slimmer than this device. Compared to F100, it weighs slightly on the lower side at 143 grams.

Gionee S5

Unlike the earlier mentioned two devices, the Gionee S5 comes with mid-range specifications. The metal build device features a 5.3-inch IPS display, but the resolution is limited to just 1280 x 720 pixels. Under the hood is the 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor. It sports 4GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage that can be further expanded upto 128GB via provided MicroSD card slot. The Gionee S5 comes with a USB Type-C port with USB 2.0 technology.

It includes a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP selfie camera on the front. There is also a fingerprint sensor placed on the rear of the device. It is backed by a 2,900mAh non-removable battery can last more than a day of usage. The device measures 149.9 x 74.2 x 7.9 mm and weighs 160 grams. It supports dual SIM, and connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port.
