First the S5.1 user would have to enable the data connection and then later, the Wi-Fi hotspot feature on the device, which is quite easy to do. How to customize the Quick settings in the notification panel?

It is quite similar like most of the Gionee smartphones; you just have to slide out the notification panel, and then jump to the settings tab there. Now tap on the more option that you will find at the bottom corner in the grid. A list of functions will open now; drag the options that you want them to appear in the quick settings tab.

Will the Gionee Elife S5.1 get the Android Lollipop 5.0 update?

Even, though Gionee has given a priority for OS updates on its slim line-up consisting of Elife S5.5 and S5.1, over the Elife E7 flagship model.
