Forget iPhone. These are the 5 Smart Phones You should Buy

Last week if you tuned into our website, then you would know that world witnessed a launch of a lot of smartphones at the MWC 2016. Some would say it was chaos that hundreds of smartphones launch in a just a couple of days. But a real geek would say it was a beauty, which never ceases to amaze. Well, enough of MWC shenanigans, let’s talk about why you should forget iPhone and instead choose your next device from the five flagships launched at the world’s largest mobile event. Below is a list of five such smartphones that can give iPhone run for its money and innovation, it may be the first smartphone to launch in the world. But after the demise of Steve Jobs, the phone that everybody loved is getting less attention from their fans. Let’s talk about the five devices.

Samsung Galaxy S7 & S7 Edge

Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge

The Next Galaxy is here, and we think it’s what was expected of it. Sleeker design, and bringing back the microSD card and waterproof functionality was a good decision by the Samsung. The 5.1-inch factor remains similar, which makes it quite a compact device. And with a use of Snapdragon 820 and Exynos 8890 chipset, it is quite the powerful processor. We still got to test the device for its performance, but the last year’s Exynos was a great performer. With the increase in battery capacity, we feel the battery life on the S7 and S7 Edge would be quite enjoyable. The most important update on the next iteration of the Galaxy is the camera module; the sensor sports a f/1.7 aperture number that is the largest yet on a smartphone camera. The resolution may have been toned down to 12MP, but it’s rather a unique setup of Dual Pixel camera.

LG G5 Smartphone

All eyes were on the LG G5 at this year’s MWC 2016, and there’s a reason for that because it has done what is quite bold, went ahead with a unique semi-modular design. The design is a big factor when it comes to usability of a device. And if it’s extendable, then one could bet on it being one of the most popular devices. With LG Friends like Cam Plus, 360 Cam, Rolling Bot, Smart Controller and VR Headset, it is more than just a smartphone. Meanwhile, the slide-out removable battery compartment feature makes it quite convenient for you to switch the battery. That is why LG is calling it “Life’s Good when you play more”. And we hope to see it this promise from company pan out great when we use the device and its friends in our daily life.

Xiaomi Mi 5 & Mi Pro

Xiaomi Mi 5 (1)

At their first appearance in MWC Barcelona stage, the Chinese manufacturer announced their flagship smartphone, the Mi 5. According to the company, it took them about two years to perfect the design over the Mi 4. Offering a handset design made with such quality and preciseness at an aggressive pricing is what wooed use away and all international audience. The United States and European nations might not be getting this handset anytime soon, but they couldn’t be happier with the device. Well, at least, that was the impression left by the audience at MWC. What’s more interesting is that there is a Pro variant costing around $400, which comes with 3D Ceramic back, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. You can find such specifications and quality in one handset with the pricing it comes at. So, yes, we are quite excited for it to launch in India as soon as possible.

Sony Xperia X Performance

Sony Xperia X Performance

Sony has ditched its Xperia Z lineup and committed to a new series called X. There are three handsets in this series; X, XA and X Performance. The X Performance is the high-end device in this range, which is powered by a Snapdragon 820, similar to the above handsets and that’s why it is on the list. Sporting a 5-inch Full HD display, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, it is quite the charmer. The device runs on the Android Marshmallow 6.0 OS with a custom interface. The camera package on this flagship is heavy at 23MP for the rear and 13MP on the front. You’ll notice that design is pretty much new, and it’s not a spin-off of the Z Series.

Le Max Pro

This is another affordable Snapdragon 820 Smartphone from a Chinese manufacturer. Technically, it was the first handset announced with the newest flagship chipset from Qualcomm, which recently went on sale in China. Unfortunately, it’s not available outside China, and the company hasn’t shared any plans whether they are planning to expand its presence to other regions. Though, we expect it to come to the United States and India sometime this year as the company has set up its e-commerce store, LeMall, in both the countries. The Le Max Pro comes with a 6.33-inch Quad HD display, 4GB of RAM and storage options starting at 32GB. The camera package on this handset is quite massive at 21MP on the rear side while the 4MP on the front side. The device is fueled by a 3400mAh capacity battery.

These are the top five recently launched smartphones that we think can easily replace your iPhone. If you’re an Apple fanboy, it may be hard to consider switching to one of these handsets. But it shouldn’t be the problem if you’re open for experiences. In a hypothetical world, here you Apple fanboys are not using an iPhone, which device from this would you opt for? Let us know in the comments section below. And for those who were already thinking of switching to Android, get any of the above devices when available in your country.
