Exclusive – XTC Z3 Kids Smartwatch launched by BBK Electronics Powered by Qualcomm Wear 2100

Qualcomm has introduced and showcased a lot of their new technology at the MWC 2017 at Shanghai. Yesterday the company announced the new Snapdragon 450 SoC which will be powering the new mid-range smartphones in coming years. The company announced the new Wear 2100 platform for wearable devices. And one of the first smartwatches to have this chipset is the new XTC W3 kids smartwatch.

Now, if you aren’t familiar with the name Xiaotiancai (XTC), it is the subsidiary of BKK electronics. BKK Electronics is the same company which owns OPPO, Vivo and OnePlus. XTC launched their first kid’s smartwatch in 2015, called the Y01. They are one of the leading providers in the watch segment globally. And now they have launched this a new kid’s smartwatch named Z3. The Z3 is one of the first kids watch in the industry powered by the Snapdragon Wear 2100 platform. According to the company, it has been specially designed to meet the needs of the emerging 4G Kid watch segment.

The W3 watch supports 4G multi-mode with bi-directional calling. It also delivers reliable indoor and outdoor positioning through a combination of Wi-Fi, GPS, and 4G location triangulation techniques. This watch is based on Android and it has been designed in such a way, that it constantly stays connected to the parents’ smartphone so that they can always be in touch with their children. The watch also has a swimming level waterproof design. This, in fact, makes it the first connected kids’ smartwatch with this feature. On top of that, the watch also supports quick charge making it a completely feature packed watch.
