UMIDIGI is a little known Chinese smartphone brand that sells the high-end smartphones at a very affordable price. Earlier, we reported about the sub-$100 smartphones from the similar brands which offered metal built body and fingerprint sensor. Now, we got some exclusive photos of the two new upcoming UMIDIGI smartphones called UMIDIGI Z1 and Z1 Pro. While the company plans to unveil these devices on June 19th, we already got to see the first look along with few key specifications. Both the UMIDIGI Z1 and Z1 Pro comes with unibody metal design and sports dual-lens camera on the rear.
The dual cameras along with dual tone LED flash are placed on the top left corner on the rear of the device. As seen on the iPhone 7 Plus, there are no curved Antennas on the Z1 and Z1 Pro. The devices will be running on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and mostly comes out with Vanilla flavored UI. The fingerprint sensor is integrated into the physical home button on the front. Talking about the display of the Z1 Pro, it is said to feature 5.5-inch AMOLED display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection on top.
On the rear, the devices feature a 13MP primary sensor and a 5MP secondary sensor. As of now, there is no information about the front facing camera. Under the hood, the devices will be powered by MediaTek Helio P20 (MT6757) octa-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz. Both the Z1 and Z1 Pro will be coming in 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB RAM variants offering 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB of internal storage. While the 4GB RAM variant of the UMIDIGI Z1 features a 4,000mAh battery, the 6GB and 8GB RAM variants offer 3,500mAh and 3,000mAh battery capacities respectively.
Interestingly, all these variants are said to measure the same 6.95mm thickness. The power button and volume rocker can be seen on the right edge, while the SIM card slot will be placed on the left edge.
