Exclusive: Jio Announces The Jio-Micromax Additional Data Offer For Eligible Micromax Devices

Reliance Jio has introduced a lot of new offers in partnership with smartphone manufacturers, in order to attract some new subscribers. We have seen a lot of such cases in the past and now we have some info about a new offer which Jio has introduced in partnership with Micromax. This offer is called “Jio-Micromax Additional Data” and as the name is pretty self-explanatory.

Under this new Jio-Micromax Additional Data offer, any active Jio subscriber who activates any of the eligible Micromax devices that he/ she purchased in India, on the Jio network for the first time will be entitled to receive some additional data. However, there are certain rules to be followed, in order to receive this additional data. Firstly, you need to make sure that you have an eligible device for the same. The eligible devices are listed as Group 1 and Group 2.

The list of eligible devices in Group 1 are as follows –

The Group 2 has only one device listed under it and it is the Dual 5 smartphone which was launched a few months back. And now, talking about the additional data, the devices listed in the Group11 will get 5 GB 4G data voucher per recharge. Whereas the devices listed in Group-2 i.e. the Dual 5 smartphone users will get 10 GB 4G data voucher, per Recharge. One thing which you need to make sure here is that the offer is applicable only on the Indian version of the aforementioned models.

Also, once the device is activated for the first time in Jio network, the user needs to enroll for the Prime membership if he/ she is not already a prime member. Post that, any recharges with Rs. 309 or above between 30th June 2017 and 31st March 2018 will fetch the additional data benefit. The user will receive the additional data corresponding to the relevant group under which an eligible device falls, for a
maximum of 5 recharges of Rs. 309 or above, performed on or before 31st March 2018.

The user will have to redeem the voucher by going into the MyJio Application. Hence this will give the freedom to utilize the additional data voucher as per one’s convenience. However, do make a note that the Additional Data Vouchers will have the same validity as per their respective base plans. So for instance, if you have done a recharge of Rs. 309 on 1st July 2017 and your base plan has a validity of 28 days, the validity of the voucher shall be until 28th July 2017.
