Exclusive – Confirmed Specs & Photos of Lenovo S5, K5, K5 Play & Watch 9 (Updated)

Lenovo has been teasing about the Lenovo S5 smartphone from last few weeks. Later today, the company will officially launch its latest smartphone in China. According to our exclusive source, the company will also unveil the Lenovo K5 and K5 Play smartphones along with Lenovo Watch 9 smartwatch. As of now, all these new Lenovo devices will be limited to the Chinese market. As seen in the leaks, the Lenovo S5 will be coming with a metal unibody design.

The device will be available in Black and Red color options. While the newly launched OPPO R15 and Vivo X21 smartphones came with 19:9 displays, the Lenovo S5 sports a 5.7-inch IPS display with Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) resolution. Under the hood, the Lenovo S5 is powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor. It comes 3GB and 4GB RAM variants with 32GB and 64GB of internal storage respectively.

Along with the rear-facing fingerprint sensor, the Lenovo S5 can be securely unlocked using the Face Unlock. On the rear, there is a 13MP + 13MP dual camera setup with 5P lens and f/2.2 aperture. For selfies, the device sports a 16MP front camera with beauty mode and portrait mode. While it is rumored to sport a 6,000mAh battery, the device actually comes with a 3,000mAh battery. It runs on the Android Oreo-based ZUI out of the box.

Taking about the Lenovo K5 and K5 Play, both these devices also offer a 5.7-inch HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio, These devices come with eye-catching glass back body and sports dual rear cameras, While the Lenovo K5 comes with 13MP + 8MP dual rear cameras, the K5 Play offers 13MP + 2MP dual rear cameras. On the front, both the devices come with an 8MP selfie camera. The Lenovo K5 Play will be available in 2GB and 3GB RAM variants with 16GB and 32GB of expandable storage respectively.

On the other hand, the Lenovo K5 comes only in 3GB RAM variant with 32GB of onboard storage. Apart from these three smartphones, Lenovo will also unveil the Lenovo Watch 9 smartwatch. Unlike the many other smartwatches, the Watch 9 is actually an analog watch with smart features. It comes with Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity and is compatible with Android and iOS smartphones. The Lenovo Watch 9 will be available in Black and White colors.

As seen on premium watches, the Watch 9 also comes with a Sapphire glass on the top with 9H hardness. It will be vibrating for alarms or when the user receives any notifications. The users can capture remotely capture selfies by shaking the watch. It can track the steps, calories burnt, sleep, and few other fitness related information. It is also water-resistant up to 5ATM and can be used even while swimming. Since there is no display on the Watch 9, it mentioned to give up to 12 months of battery life.

Update: Lenovo has officially unveiled the Lenovo S5, K5, and K5 Play smartphones. The Lenovo K5 Play with 2GB and 3GB of RAM is priced at 699 Yuan and 799 Yuan respectively. It will go on sale starting April 17th in China. The Lenovo K5 with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage is priced at 899 Yuan. It is now available to pre-order and the sales will begin from April 10th.

Talking about the Lenovo S5, the 3GB RAM variant with 32GB of internal storage is priced at 999 Yuan. The 4GB RAM variant with 64GB and 128GB of internal storage costs 1199 Yuan and 1499 Yuan respectively. Unlike the other two devices, the Lenovo S5 will go on sale early from March 23rd. The Lenovo Watch 9 Smartwatch comes with a price tag of 129 Yuan and will be on sale starting March 23rd.
