Samsung Galaxy A7 2016 Reset

Samsung has recently launched a new smartphone which is the successor of Samsung Galaxy A7, i.e., the Galaxy A7 2016. The device comes with a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display and 1920 x 1080 pixels as its resolution. It is a dual SIM smartphone supporting Dual Standby and supports the Nano SIM card on it. It comes with 3 GB RAM and 16 GB as its internal storage and can be expanded to 128 Gb using an external Micro SD Card. It is powered by a 3600 mAh Li-Poly battery and runs on Android 5.1. If you are using the device and fed up with the performance of your smartphone and would like to upgrade to any new smartphone launched in the market then always remember to factory reset your device before you give that for others to use.

Factory resetting device will clear the data on your device and makes it fresh for use. There are two ways in which you can factory reset your device, i.e., Soft Reset & Hard Reset. Before you can proceed with the reset, I suggest you to check the tips and tricks of the device which we have covered on PhoneRadar so that it might help you in overcoming your problem on your device.

Soft Reset:

Soft reset is just the normal restart where you need to restart your device. This process closes all the background applications and make the device fresh for use. It is usually done when you get stuck on any of the application and restart your device to get rid of it.

Hard Reset:

Hard Reset is the actual reset where the data on the device is cleared from your device making device fresh for use.

Step 1: Open the settings and tap on Backup and Reset option in the Personal Section.
Step 2: In the new window, you will find both the backup and reset options. Now head over to the bottom of the screen and tap on Factory Data reset.
Step 3: It will show you the details of all the accounts associated with your device. Now, tap on the Reset Device Button, which is at the bottom of the screen.
Step 4: If you have set any password or fingerprint on your device then you need to enter the password to proceed further.
Step 5: Now you need to tap on the Erase Everything button which is at the bottom of the screen to reset your device.

The device restarted and the data is clearing message is displayed on the screen. Once the Data is cleared the device reboots as if you are booting it for the first time and will be fresh for use again.

Note:

  • Before you factory reset your smartphone always create a backup of the data available on your device as factory resetting is an irreversible process and data once erased can not be retrieved back.
