DJI OSMO Pocket with 12MP (4K) Sensor & Built-in Touchscreen Might Cost $249

The upcoming DJI OSMO Pocket Gimbal has been in the leaks from few days and just yesterday there were few image leaks. The Chinese drone manufacturer, DJI has scheduled an event in New York to launch a new device with the title “Because Life is Big”. The DJI Osmo Pocket is said to be more compact than other cameras from the DJI Osmo series as its name suggests and also has a stabilizer in the form of 2-axis dreadlocks, mainly targeting vloggers.

The device is said to be coming with a 12MP camera which is capable of recording 4K videos at 60p with 100Mbps speeds. The DJI OSMO Pocket will be coming with auto as well as manual gimbal operations along with a built-in touch screen and also many gesture controls. The user can transfer the data using a USB to the mobile and is also expected to come with many accessories.

From the previously leaked images, we can see the companies logo on the DJI OSMO Pocket and also a display area where the user can attach accessories. There is also a LED light indicator along with two buttons to record. Moreover, it is also said to be compatible with lighting/USB-C smartphones and will have Li-Po 875mAh battery with 7.7V. The device can be operated via DJI Mimo application which can be downloaded from the Google play site and also from Apple App Store.

As of now, the DJI Osmo pocket is said to be compatible with iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone SE, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X. Nothing is known about the support for iPhone XS and XR. The device could be priced around $249 according to the latest leaks and we should wait for few more minutes for it to be officiated announced today.
