Cubot is a Chinese smartphone maker that had launched few high-end smartphones with very aggressive pricing. The flagship devices Cubot X15 and Cubot X17 includes 2GB and 3GB respectively and sports a Full HD Display. Both the devices came with 16MP rear camera and an 8MP selfies and are priced less than $200 in China. This week the company has launched even more affordable smartphone called ‘Cubot S600.’
The device is priced at just $130 and comes with a metallic frame and a fingerprint sensor which not many smartphones offers at this price range. It features a 2.5D 5-inch IPS display with HD (1280 x 720) resolution and is powered by 64-bit MediaTek MT6735A quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. There is 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and a MicroSD card slot.
It supports dual SIM dual standby and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. In the camera department, it includes a 16MP rear camera from Samsung with f/2.0 aperture and PDAF that can focus in just 0.3 seconds. On the front, it has an 8MP selfie camera with 4P lens and several beauty modes that can make the selfies look even better. This is also the world’s most affordable smartphone to sport a 16MP camera.
The device backed by a 2,700mAh battery and will be available in White, Black and Gold colors. Connectivity options on this device include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. The recently launched device under the company’s portfolios is the Cubot H1 that sports a massive 5,200mAh battery that can give 2 hours talk time with just 10 minutes of charging.
