There was a time when the 5-inch display was too big for users to handle on a smartphone and here we are in 2016, where smartphones with 6-inch display also exist. We have already seen a bunch of smartphones this year with display sizes up to 6 inches. Recently Xiaomi launched the Mi Max smartphone which had a 7-inch screen. Adding on to the list, we have a new device from Cubot, which has a huge screen.
The new Max from Cubot is the smartphone with 6-inch HD display, coming in at a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Considering the screen size, the resolution is very low and there not much to expect regarding Pixel density. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core MT6753A processor. It is packed with 3GB of RAM and comes with 32GB internal storage option. On the camera side, we have a 13-megapixel rear facing camera and on the front, we have a 5-megapixel camera. The internals of this device is powered by a 4000 mAh battery. No other specifications of the device are available as of now.
Looking at the specifications, it looks like an average device from the manufacturer. At this point in time, we don’t have any official confirmation about the device’s pricing, however, according to the website, it will be launching in the month of August. So we will know more about the availability and pricing of the device soon in coming days.
The company also announced the CheetahPhone in MWC in the month of February. The CheetahPhone comes with 5.5-inch Full HD display resolution, and it is powered by a MediaTek MT6753 Octa-core chipset, which clocks at 1.5GHz. The device packs 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, as well a 10GB of cloud storage space for your online needs. However, the new Cubot Max looks like a mid-range smartphone. Stay tuned for more information on pricing and availability of the device soon.
