Coolpad Launches Cool 3 Plus with 5.71″ Waterdrop Notch Display & Helio A22 SoC

Coolpad has launched its latest smartphone called Cool 3 Plus in the India market. It is the successor to the Cool 3 smartphone launched in February this year. The company also launched the 4GB RAM variant of the Cool 3 priced at Rs 7,999. While the Coolpad Cool 3 is available exclusively via offline stores, the new Cool 3 Plus will be sold via Amazon India. Talking about the Cool 3 Plus, it comes with a gradient finish polycarbonate body.

On the front, the device sports a 5.71-inch IPS display with HD+ (1520 x 720 pixels) resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. As seen on the Cool 3, the display on the Plus moniker also comes with a waterdrop notch on the top. Under the hood, the device comes powered by the 12nm MediaTek Helio A22 (MT6762M) quad-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz. The Cool 3 Plus comes in 2GB and 3GB RAM variants with 16GB and 32GB of internal storage respectively. There is also a MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage.

While the Cool 3 came with dual camera setup on the rear, the new Cool 3 Plus is only equipped with a single rear camera. While there is a 13MP camera on the rear with LED flash, the front of the device features an 8MP camera for selfies. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. The Cool 3 Plus is backed by a 3,000mAh non-removable battery and comes with 5V/2A (10W) power adapter. It also includes a circular fingerprint scanner on the rear of the device.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. Talking about the pricing, the Cool 3 Plus with 2GB and 3GB of RAM is priced at Rs 5,999 and Rs 6,499 respectively. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
