Cellular Operations Association Complains against Rajinikanth’s 2.0 for promoting an anti-scientific attitude

Well, well. To our surprise, the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) has filed a complaint against one of the most awaited upcoming film – Magnus Opus 2.0 which stars Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar. The film is now in trouble with just two days away from the worldwide release which is directed by Shankar. The COAI has written to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) over the depiction of mobile phones.

The new film is about the adverse effects caused by mobile phone on all the living beings due to the phone radiations. With the theme of conveying that the world, is not only for humans but also for the birds and animals in it. The complaint from the non-governmental society which is dedicated to the advancement of Morden communication says, the film falsely depicts mobile phones and mobile towers as harmful to the birds, animals, humans due to the EMF (Electromagnetic field) emissions from the devices.

The letters from COAI also claims that the makers of the film are promoting anti-scientific attitude to the people and requested CBFC to revoke the certificate issued for the teaser, trailer, promotional videos along with the film with immediate effects. They also request to suspend the exhibition of the movie until the complaint is taken into cognizance and the matter is resolved.

The movie is yet to be released and it is about the depiction of mobile services and towers and which is said to be false and without any evidence and wholly fictional. The film was awarded a U/A certification by CBFC recently and COAI has asked for a copy of the movie to be provided to the body to enable to a fair chance to raise the concerns completely.
