Just recently, Gionee had launched a 5000 mAh battery smartphone, the Marathon M3 for the price of Rs. 12999. Since then, some decent devices with high battery capacity were launched in the market, and the same company had announced a phone with 6020 mAh battery. But, in all these, there was nothing great about the pricing set. Interestingly, the latest launch from Celkon, an Indian smartphone brand, could be a good one.
The Celkon Millennia Q5K Power comes with a 5000 mAh battery, and the pricing set for it is just Rs. 5222. For that price, you anyways cannot expect anything great except for the battery in this device. The Q5K Power has a 5-inch display with a FWVGA resolution (854 x 480 pixels), and the chipset isn’t specified, but is a quad-core 1.2 GHz processor and there is 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage with a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion for up to 32GB.
The device runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat, and for the camera combination, there is a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and a 3.2-megapixel front-facing camera. While the battery has a good 5000 mAh capacity, the phone comes with a Smart Power Saver feature that helps optimize and get more from it.
For the connectivity, this is a Dual SIM smartphone that offers 3G connectivity and Bluetooth, Wi-Fi along with GPS. For the price, there is rarely a smartphone that offers this high battery capacity, and thus one can look at this for a secondary phone for calling, that doesn’t ask for charging very often.
As for the sales, it will be available both online and offline, and goes on sale right away.
