Earlier this week, Optiemus Infracom has launched the Blackberry KEY2 as the successor to last year’s Blackberry KEYone in the Indian market. The device comes with a 4-row QWERTY keyboard and mid-range specifications. However, the Blackberry KEY2 is priced at a whopping Rs 42,990. At that price, you can even get the Vivo NEX smartphone with flagship specifications and innovative features like an in-display fingerprint sensor and pop-up selfie camera. A couple of weeks back, there are also leaks about the Blackberry KEY2 Lite, the cheaper variant of the KEY2.

Now, the latest leaks suggest the company to actually launch the Blackberry KEY2 Lite as Blackberry KEY2 LE (Lite Edition?). It will be coming with the model number BBE 100-5 and supports dual SIM dual standby. The KEY2 LE will be coming in the same size as KEY2, but with less powerful specifications. According to Evan Blass, the device will be Red, Blue, and Copper color options.

The leaks suggest the KEY2 LE to sport the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Mobile Platform which also powers the Blackberry KEY2. Talking about the KEY2, it came with a 4.5-inch Full HD (1620 x 1080 pixels) display with 3:2 aspect ratio. It came with 6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. The KEY2 LE is said to offer just 4GB of RAM. In the camera department, the KEY2 sports dual rear cameras featuring 12MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 12MP secondary sensor with f/2.6 aperture.

For selfies, there is an 8MP camera on the front. It is backed by a 3,360mAh battery and supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology. Though the KEY2 LE is said to come in same form factor as KEY2, it will be coming with a smaller 2,900mAh battery. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details about the Blackberry KEY2 LE smartphone.
