In the month of March, we have seen quite a few smartphone launches in the Indian market. The Moto G5 Plus is one of those newly launched devices bringing better camera capabilities to the budget smartphones. In the coming month, we might be seeing newly launching smartphones priced all the way from ultra low-cost to the premium segment. Almost all these upcoming devices support 4G VoLTE and interestingly, the list also includes one feature phone from an Indian mobile phone manufacturer.
At the Redmi 4A India launch event, the company teased to soon launch the successors to the Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime. Since the Redmi 4 was already launched in China, we expect Xiaomi to come with Redmi 4 and Redmi 4 Prime for the Indian market. The recently launched Redmi 4A is priced at just Rs. 5,999 and the upcoming devices might cost almost same as their predecessors. Unlike the Redmi 4A, the Redmi 4 devices will be featuring metal built body and a 2.5D curved glass on the front. It comes with a 5-inch HD display and packs Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 505 GPU. Just like the Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime, the Redmi 4 might also come with 2GB and 3GB RAM options. In the camera department, it includes a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera. The non-removable battery with 4,100mAh capacity will remain same as on its predecessor. Earlier this month, we exclusively reported about the upcoming Bharat series mobile phones from Micromax. The Bharath One is a feature phone, whereas the Bharat Two is a low-cost smartphone. Both these devices support 4G VoLTE and can be used with Jio 4G SIM. The Bharath One is expected to cost Rs. 1,999, which is much lower than the Lava 4G VoLTE feature phone, 4G Connect M1. While the Chinese brands are now focused on high-end smartphones, the Indian brands are coming with even cheaper smartphones. It comes with a polycarbonate body featuring 4-inch WCGA display on the front. It is powered by an unknown quad-core processor coupled with just 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. There is a 2MP camera on the rear with LED flash and a VGA front camera for selfies. The Bharath Two VoLTE smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is backed by a 1,300mAh battery. Talking about the Bharath One, the specifications of the device are still unknown, but we exclusively posted the first look of the device. The design looks almost similar to the Nokia 3310 and might support 4G VoLTE only for making calls.
