Asus ZenFone 5 Lite Receiving Android 9.0 Pie Update

Asus has started pushing Android 9 Pie update to its ZenFone 5 Lite smartphone with the model number ZX600KL which is also known as ZenFone 5Q or ZenFone 5 Selfie Pro in few markets. Information on the same was provided by the companies own forum page and the device is getting a bump to its firmware version to 16.0610.1905.79. This update is being rolled out via OTA in batches so it might take some time to hit your device.

If you have not received the latest update to the device, you can always check it manually by going to the setting of the smartphone and then head to the system update section. Now, if the file is available to download it before installation. Make sure the handset has enough battery before the installation begins and also back up all the important data just to be on the safe side.

The Asus ZenFone 5 Lite was launched along with the ZenFone 5 and ZenFone 5Z at MWC 2018. To recall, the ZenFone 5 Lite comes with a 6-inch display with Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor coupled with 3GB / 4GB of RAM. The onboard storage on the device is 32GB / 64GB that can be extended further up to 2TB via microSD card slot.

The handset came with a total of 4 cameras with one 16MP main camera sensor on the rear along with an 8MP camera while on the front we can find 20MP primary camera along with 8MP secondary selfie sensor. It came out of the box with Android 8 Oreo operating system with its own UI on top and is powered with 3300mAh battery with fast charging support with Type-C charging port.
