Last year, ASUS launched the ZenPad 3 8.0 which was sort of like a smaller and more compact version of the ZenPad 10.0. However, now in 2017, the company has silently unveiled the new ZenPad 3S 8.0. The company which is showcasing a bunch of products at the Computex 2017 in Taipei along with a lot of other manufacturers, unveiled the new ZenPad 3S 8.0. Just like last year, the ZenPad 3S 8.0 a more compact version of the ZenPad 3S 10 or you can also call it as a slightly better ZenPad 3 8.0 as well.

The ASUS ZenPad 3S 8.0 which goes by the model number Z582KL looks more or less similar to the previously launched predecessor. The tablet has mid-ranged specs, however, at this point, we don’t have any details of the pricing since the company decided to go for a silent launch. The Tablet is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 SoC and it comes with 4GB of RAM. The internal memory has now increased to 32GB or 64GB variants, which is better in comparison to what we had last year with the ZenPad 3 8.0 i.e. 16GB or 32GB.

On the front, we have a 7.9″ display that has a resolution of 1536 x 2048. This now has the same amount of pixel density as that of the ZenPad 3S 10. At the back we are looking at a 13MP camera, whereas on the front, we have a 5MP front facing selfie shooter. This new tablet runs on Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box with the company’s custom UI on top. It has a metal unibody design and it measures only 6.9mm in thickness. This certainly looks like a slight upgrade over the ZenPad 3S 8.0.

That also had a similar display with the same resolution. It was powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 SoC and was offered in two variants i.e 2GB and 4GB variant. So essentially what you’re getting new with the ZenPad 3S 8.0 is an improved SoC and more storage option with the base variant coming with 3GB of RAM. Also, as mentioned earlier, since the company decided to go for a silent launch, we don’t really have much info about the pricing or the availability of this new ZenPad 3S 8.0 Tablet. However, if you are interested in this tablet, then be sure to stay tuned to PhoneRadar for more info on this.
