ASUS Launches ZenSIM Under MVNO Licence in Japan

We don’t have MVNO (mobile virtual network operator) operators in India, there are MVNO operators in the western markets. The MVNO operator can start offering mobile service without having any telecom license or infrastructure. The MVNO network is built on an existing operator’s infrastructure without its branding. The ASUS ZenSIM in Japan in powered by IIJ and uses Docomo’s network.

It will be available from March 15th via ASUS Store Akasaka and also through ASUS online store. The ASUS ZenSIM is currently offering monthly plans with 3GB of data for JPY 1600, 6GB of data for JPY 2200 and 12GB of date for JPY 3260. Users also get JPY 1500 worth coupon code that can be used at ASUS online and offline stores. Under the ASUS ZenSIM release campaign, the company is also offering JPY 620 discount per month for the next 12 months.

The offer lasts till May 8th and the data plan will also get increased by 3GB for the next 12 months. Also, the unused data can be carry forwarded for the next month and voice calls will be charged at JPY 20/30 seconds. In the future, the company might launch Zenfone devices in Japan with combined data plans with its ZenSIM. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
