Archos Diamond Plus with octa-core SoC, 2GB RAM and 1080p Display Announced

French smartphone manufacturer, Archos has announced a new smartphone Diamond Plus. Last week the company also announced a tablet called Diamond Tab with 2K display and 3GB of RAM for just $275. The latest smartphone sports a 5-inh Full HD (1920×1080) IPS display and comes powered by a 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor coupled with Mali T-720 GPU and 2GB of RAM.

It has 16GB of internal storage and also includes a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 32GB. On the front, the device features an 8MP camera for selfies and a 16MP rear sensor with LED flash. The device runs on the battery of 2,850mAh capacity and supports fast charging.

The Diamond Plus runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. It supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE connectivity. It also includes other connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, GPS/A-GPS, and Bluetooth 4.0.

The device measures 152.6 x 76.4 x 8.4mm and weighs 176 grams.The sale of the device will be starting will be available from November at a price of £179.99 (around $275). The full specifications of the device at the IFA 2015 where the device will be unveiled officially.
