Apple iPhone X Displays Start Failing, Begins Free Replacement Program

Earlier today, we came to know about the iPhone X explosion in the US state of Washington. We will know the reason behind this explosion only after the company is done with investigating the device. As of now, the explosion is only limited to one iPhone X unit. Talking about the more widespread iPhone X issue, several users are facing display-related issues. Apple also acknowledged the issue and is offering free display module replacement for all the eligible users.

The iPhone X is first ever smartphone from Apple to sport an OLED display panel. Even though the company confirmed about the flaw in their display modules, there is no confirmation over the number of units affected. The iPhone X user has to visit the nearest Apple Care or an authorized service store to let them examine the device for the faulty display module. If your iPhone X is confirmed to be affected by the issue, then the company will be replacing the display module at free of cost.

This free replacement offer is also applicable to the devices with already dead displays. The iPhone X with faulty display module will not respond for the touches or responds without any touches. In case, if you replaced your iPhone X display module and is expected to be affected by the issue, then the company will be offering a complete refund. The free display replacement offer will cover the affected iPhone X devices for 3 years from the purchase date.

As of now, the free replacement is only for the iPhone X and not for the newly launched iPhone XR or iPhone XS devices. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
