The iPhone X successor and the plus variant are said to sport OLED panel, whereas the smaller 2018 iPhone will be coming with an LCD panel. The newly leaked iPhone shown in the video will be coming with LCD panel and might also ditch few premium features from the original iPhone X to bring down the final cost. Apart from the edge-to-edge display on the rumored iPhone SE2, the design looks similar to iPhone 5S or the more latest iPhone SE.
With the lack of a home button, we don’t think the company will skip the Face ID on this upcoming low-cost iPhone. Talking about the device, it will be coming with the Aluminum frame instead of the stainless steel frame. While the power button sits on the top edge, the rounded volume rocker and ringer switch are placed on the left edge. On the bottom edge, we can see the lightning port and loudspeaker.
There is no 3.5mm audio jack on this new iPhone, and the user has to depend on the single lighting port for charging and connecting headphones. We expect to hear some sort of confirmation from Apple at the WWDC 2018 event scheduled to kickoff on June 4th. Alongside the affordable iPhone, Apple is also rumored to launch affordable iPad and MacBook in 2018. Take all these details with a pinch of salt and wait for the official confirmation.
