Apple iPad Mini 4 Indian Pricing Leaked, to Start from Rs.28,900

Apple also launched the new iPad Mini 4 along with the larger iPad Pro at ‘Hey Siri’ event held in the U.S. The pricing of the device in the US starts from $399 and the company also announced the price drop on the 2013 launched iPad Mini 2 that makes it cost just $269. The iPad Mini 4 packs the same specifications of the iPad Air 2 but in a smaller package with a 7.9-inch screen size.

It has a 7.9-inches IPS Retina display of 2048 x 1536 resolution. It is powered by the latest 64-bit A8 processor that was used in the iPad Air 2. There is 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM and comes with storage options of 16/64/128GB. Coming to the camera,  it has an 8MP iSight camera on the rear with an aperture of f/2.4 and a 1.2MP front camera with an aperture of f/2.2 that can record videos in HD resolution.

With the Pano mode in the camera app, you can get panorama images with a resolution as high as 43MP. The iPad Mini 4 can record the slo-mo (slow motion) videos at 120 fps. The iPad Mini 4 will be thinnest iPad Mini ever launched with a thickness of just 6.1mm, compared to the 7.5mm thickness of the iPad Mini3, the iPad Mini4 measures 202.1 x 134.8 x 6.1 mm. The Wi-Fi only variant of the tablet weighs 298.8 grams while the LTE variant weighs slight higher at 304 grams, but with both tablets in both hands one can’t easily identify that different.

It will run on the latest iOS 9 while the new OS will be available for all starting from September 16. It will be available in both Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi + LTE variants. It also equipped with Touch ID for better security data in the tablet. With the power-efficient A8 chip and latest iOS9, the iPad Mini 4 can deliver up to 10 hours of battery life. The tablet is expected to be launched in the Indian market before the Diwali festive season, so we can see the actual launch of the iPad Mini 4 by the end of October.

Unlike the latest iPhones, the iPad Mini will be available in three colors – Silver, Gold, Space Gray. The company has launched the Smart Cover  that will be available in the colors like – Charcoal Gray, White, Midnight Blue, Red, Stone, Blue, Orange, Pink, Lavender, and Turquoise colors. The Smart Cover for iPad Mini 4 will be priced at Rs.2,900 in the Indian market. There is also a Silicon Case available in the same colors as Smart Cover, it will be priced at Rs.4,900
