Apple Introduces Apple News+, Apple TV+, Apple Card & Apple Arcade

After making a few new hardware announcements in the last week, Apple today unveiled several new services at an event held in Cupertino, California. The main theme of every new announcement is family sharing at no extra cost and not selling or sharing users data. As expected, the company announced the subscription-based news and video streaming services called Apple News+ and Apple TV+. Also, Apple launched its own credit card called Apple Card and game subscription service called Apple Arcade.
Apple Card
Apple Pay which has seen more than 10 billion transactions in 2019 will be expanding to 40+ countries in 2019. In the US, Apple Pay can also be used transits. Also, the company introduces its own credit card called Apple Card. It is virtually stored in the Apple Pay wallet and can be used across the globe. Apple is also providing Titanium-made physical card with laser engraved name and no other details.
Apple News+
With over millions of readers, the Apple News is mentioned to be the worlds no.1 news app. Now, the company is further enhancing the news apps by adding the magazines to the already present news stories. With the Apple News+ service, the user can have access to more than 300+ magazines covering entertainment, fashion, news, politics, lifestyle, health, travel, food and more.
The magazines on the Apple News+ also come with live covers and includes original font. Also, the company brings digital news subscription services from the LA Times, The Wall Street Journal and more. The Apple News+ is priced at $9.99 per month and includes family sharing. It is now available in the US and Canada and coming to Europe and Australia later this year. Apple Arcade
With over 1 billion users playing games on iOS, Apple announced the App Store as the largest gaming platform. To compete against the free or freemium games, the company announced Apple Arcade to offer 100+ premium and exclusive games via subscription service. The Apple Arcade games work on iOS, macOS, and Apple TV. The users can continue playing the game on macOS or Apple TV after started playing on an iOS device. It will be available very soon in more than 150 countries.
Apple TV App
New Apple TV app will be coming May this year and will be available in over 100 countries. It includes content from several video subscriptions services like HBO, Prime video, and cable TV (in the US) under Apple TV Channels. The app shows content in different sections called Watch Now, Movies, TV Shows, Kids and more. The Apple TV is also coming soon to macOS along with smart TVs from Samsung, LG, Sony, and Vizio. Interestingly, the app will be also available on streaming devices like Roku and FireTV.
Apple TV+
Finally, the original video subscription service is announced and it is called Apple TV+. It can be found inside the new Apple TV app and pricing will be announced later this fall. It will be ad-free and on demand. Apple also roped in great artists like Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, J.J. Abrams, Jason Momoa and more.
