Alcatel Pixi 4/3 series smartphones with 3.5″-8″displays Announced

Alcatel has added five new devices to its portfolio, out of them four devices come under a new Pixi 4 line-up. All the devices come with affordable pricing. The Alcatel Pixi 3 (8) comes with Windows 10 Phone OS while the Pixi 4 devices run on Android. Alcatel Pixi 4 (7) is one of the latest tablets to run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box.

Alcatel Pixi 3 (8)

While there are many high-end tablets launched at the CES 2016, the Pixi 3 (8) comes with entry-level specifications, It features an 8-inch display with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution and is powered by the 1.3GHz Snapdragon 210 MSM8909 quad-core processor. There is just 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage along with a MicroSD card slot for expandable upto 32GB.With such a basic specifications, users cannot the complete experience of the new Windows 10.

PIXI_3_(8)

It has a 5MP rear camera with no LED flash and a 2MP front camera. The device also comes with an SIM card slot and offers connectivity options like 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi, GPS and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. Apart from the Accelerometer, there are no other sensors on the Pixi 3 (8) tablet. It is backed by a 4,060mAh non-removable battery that give a decent battery life.  The tablet measures 209 x 124.90 x 8.3 mm and will be available in White, Black, and Gold colors.

The company also offers several customizable back covers and cases bright colors and the Stand Flip case allows the tablets to lay over the tablet with a certain angle. There is also another variant that runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. The Pixi 3 (8) will be available in Europe and Latin America starting from April 2016.

Alcatel Pixi 4 (7)

Unlike the Pixi 3 (8), the Pixi 4 (7) comes with Android OS and sports basic specifications which seem to be lower than the above mentioned tablet. The tablet comes with a polycarbonate body and includes a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. Under the hood is theMediaTek MT8321 quad-core processor clocked at 1.1GHz along with 1GB of RAM. It has an 8GB of built-in storage and a MicroSD card slot.

The device is kept powered on by the 2,580mAh battery that can give 25% more battery life with the power saving option. It has a 2MP rear camera and a VGA front camera which we couldn’t expect to capture decent photos. The 7-inch tablet runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. It includes a single SIM card slot that supports 4G LTE and also offers other basic connectivity options.

Alcatel Pixi 4 (6)

The Alcatel Pixi 4 (6) sports some better specifications than the others Pixi device but doesn’t make it competitive against the other phablets available in the market. As the name suggests, it features a 6-inch display with HD (1280 x 720) resolution. It is powered by the same 1.1GHz Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage that are earlier seen on the Pixi 3 (8) tablet.

It runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow with almost stock UI. The major improvements can be found in the camera department, where it sports an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera for selfies. It is backed by a 2,580mAh battery and supports 4G LTE connectivity.

Alcatel Pixi 4 (4)

Till now we have seen the devices with pretty large displays, but the Alcatel Pixi 4 (4) comes with a 4-inch WVGA (800 x 480 pixles) resolution display. It is powered by a MediaTek MT6580M quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. The device will be available in two variants with 512MB RAM and 4GB of storage while another device with 1GB RAM includes 8GB of internal storage.

The variant with 512MB RAM comes with a 2MP rear camera and a VGA front camera and on the other hand, the 1GB RAM variant sports a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera. Like the other Android powered Pixi devices, the Pixi 4 (4) also runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Alcatel Pixi 4 (3.5)

In the world where a smartphone 5-inch display looking normal, the company has unveiled the smallest Pixi devices, Pixi 3 (3.5) with a 3.5-inch HVGA (480 x 320) resolution display.Under the hood is the less powerful MediaTek MT6572M dual-core processor clocked at 1.1GHz with 512MB RAM. It has 4GB of internal storage with a MicroSD card slot that can be further expandable up to 32GB.

PIXI_4_(3.5)

On  the camera front, it has a 2MP rear camera with no LED flash and a VGA front camera. This Pixi 4 device run on Android 5.1 Lollipop and basic connectivity features including 3G HSPA. It is backed by a 1,300mAh battery that is expected to last for 250 hours on standby.
