Alcatel Flash 2 with 4G LTE, 13MP Rear Camera and 2GB RAM Launched at Rs.9,299

Update: Oct 20, 2015 – As announced earlier, Alcatel had launched the Alcatel Flash 2 smartphone today in India. The device will be exclusively sold through Flipkart, and the sale starts from October 27th. It is priced at Rs.9,299 and comes with some decent mid-range specifications. As of now the device will only available in Volcanic Gray color.

Earlier: Sep 26, 2015 – Alcatel has recently launched a new mid-range camera-centric smartphone called Alcatel OneTouch Flash 2 which is the successor of Alcatel OneTouch Flash that released last year. The new smartphone will be released in seven different Asian countries including India, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Singapore. OneTouch Flash 2 will be available in India starting from October 20 exclusively via Flipkart, but the pricing of the device is not yet revealed.

OneTouch Flash 2 features a 5-inch HD (720 X 1280) IPS display and comes equipped with 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. It has 2GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in storage and microSD card slot for further expansion up to 128GB. It supports dual SIM dual standby and on the connectivity front the device includes 4G-LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB port.

There is a 13MP rear camera with Samsung ISOCELL sensor with autofocus, f/2.0 aperture and dual-tone LED flash. It also has a 5MP selfie shooter with soft LED flash and f/2.2 aperture for perfect selfie clicks. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box.

The smartphone comes backed by a 3,000mAh battery that can delivers upto 10 hours of talk time, 30 hours of music playback and lasts upto 600 hours of standby time.  and will be available in color variants – Volcanic Grey and Mica White.

Earlier the company has unveiled a massive 17.3-inch tablet called  ‘Alcatel OneTouch Xess‘. Talking about the OneTouch smartphones, the company has introduced a new Go series and the devices include Go Play smartphone and Go watch. The Go series devices are waterproof and dustproof and are also compatible with GoPro cameras.
