Airtel Drops 3G, 4G Pre-paid Tariff, New Monthly Recharge Packs offer 67% more Data

Airtel after a really long time is finally offering a better value in their prepaid plans & we suspect the Reliance Jio 4G Plans and the Jio launch could be one of the biggest reasons behind this. In this new offering, Airtel customers will now get more value on the existing packs.

Under the revised data benefits, the Rs 655 4G/3G monthly recharge pack will now offer 5 GB data vs 3 GB earlier, an increase of 67%. Similarly, the Rs 455 pack 4G/3G pack now offers 50% more data by increasing data benefit to 3 GB from 2 GB. The Rs 989 4G/3G pack will now offer 10 GB data vs 6.5 GB earlier, offering 54% more benefits.

2G/3G/4G Sachet Packs also see major increase in benefits. The Rs 25 2G pack now offers 45% more data at 145 MB vs 100 MB earlier, while the Rs 145 4G/3G pack now offers 32% more data benefits at 580 MB vs 440 MB earlier. Even the Rs 5 one day 2G data pack benefits have been increased by 48% to 30 MB keeping in mind non-regular/first time users, particularly in rural markets.

Earlier: Nov 4th 2015: Airtel, the leading telecom provider in India, has launched its 4G services in Tirunelveli. As a part of its India-wide launch where the company has got a license to offer 4G services, the company is starting its 4G services in those cities.

A city in Tamil Nadu, Airtel customers in the country, can now enjoy the 4G services at the rates of 3G; all they have to do is a request for the 4G SIM card. It can be done via company’s website, Airtel. You’ll get an immediate SIM swap, which would be delivered to your doorstep within 4 hours.

The “Infinity Plans” are the first of 4G plans to be introduced, it would allow you to have unlimited voice calls on mobile and a pack of bundled movies and music. These plans start at Rs 999 offering Laden of benefits including unlimited voice calls, data benefits, premium access to Wynk Movies and Wynk Music.

The telecom giant is currently one of the first to start its 4G services country wide. Till now the company has covered more than 296 towns across India with its 4G services. Users can avail the 4G services at a 3G data pack price, which starts at Rs 25.

Additionally, Airtel is offering six months of unlimited music streaming and downloads on Wynk Music and five free movies per month for six months on the Eros Now channel of Wynk Movies.

If you’re planning to purchase any new smartphone, look out of for Airtel’s bundled 4G SIM offers with brands like Asus, Samsung, Motorola, Lenovo, Huawei and Xiaomi. The alliance is when you purchase from Flipkart, Samsung’s e-Store and retail stores.
