Acer Liquid Zest Plus with 13MP Camera & 5000mAh Battery Launched

Acer has announced a new smartphone called as Acer Liquid Zest Plus in the U.S in April this year. It is the third smartphone in the liquid series, next to the Liquid Zest and Liquid Zest 4G smartphones which are launched at MWC 2016. The device includes some decent specifications, but the USP of the device is its battery capacity. It is backed by a 5,000mAh battery which is said to give three days of battery life. Now the company launched this device in the Philippines at a price of PHP 7,990 (approx $167 / Rs. 11,200) which much lower than the $250 price tag in the U.S.
There are few smartphones from Chinese brands that includes massive battery capacities. The Gionee Marathon series is well known for the smartphones with massive battery capacities. Recently, the company also launched the Marathon M6 Plus with 6,020mAh dual batteries. A little known smartphone manufacturer Oukitel came up with Oukitel K10000 backed by a 10,000mAh, but this is not available in mainstream markets.
Apart from the huge battery, the Liquid Zest Plus sports a 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display and is powered by the 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6735 quad-core processor. It has 2GB RAM and 16GB of built-in storage that can be expanded via a MicroSD card slot. The device runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow based customized UI laid on top. Along with the 5,000mAh, the device also supports Quick Charge, which is essential for devices with massive battery capacities.
It sports a 13MP rear camera with dual tone LED flash and is also accompanied with PDAF, laser autofocus, and contrast detection which the company is calling a tri-focus system. For selfies, there is a 5MP front facing camera with 85-degree wide angle lens. The DTS-HD branding on the rear hints the device to offers better music listening experience.
