Seriously, who does buy such phones these days

    • John

I own an Umi Hammer S and I love it. I take it to the pool, take it camping, taking it into bad neighborhoods. I use it in all kinds of conditions where I might easily drop, damage, scratch, lose, or destroy with water.

Its so damn cheap is basically disposable. I love cheap Umi phones, and the quality (for the price) is really impressive.

Plus there are other advantages, like their phones being so ROM and root friendly, and little hardware/software details that I like. They should start using higher quality components, I’d love to get a mid-range phone with the Umi attention to detail.

It’s absolutely not true. I have the Umi Hammer S on T-Mobile in the United States. It supports at least one of T-Mobile’s 4G bands, and I speed tested it to get blindingly fast 4G speeds.
