UC Browser announces a New Browser in Partnership with Colors TV in India

UCWeb Inc. which is an Alibaba Mobile Business Group company, today launched a new UC Browser and also announced it strategic content partnership with Colors TV. Alibaba is the same company which also owns the YunOS, that has over 70 million users across the world. Talking about the new UC Browser, it is driven by big data technology and includes news feeds from UC News along with some other customization options as well. As mentioned, they also partnered with Colors TV for some of its shows. Alibaba Mobile used this strategy to digitise entertainment content on mobile while transforming the entire user experience.

UC browser has over 413 million active users and now adding on to that, this new UC browser makes sure that the users are getting just the right content for them. It embraces adaptability by offering direct news feed from UC News, which is an app for news launched in India in June 2016. So here, once the user selects the topics, the algorithm will adapt and offer more content on the topics selected. The new browser is also going to focus more on entertainment for content. Hence, UCWeb aims to be the best in this and offer more related contents to users on the same. They have partnered by Colors TV, which is India’s leading entertainment channel.

So essentially the partnership is being built around four main shows of Colors. These shows include Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, 24, Big Boss and Comedy Nights Live. And also as the part of the collaboration, UC Browser will also create multiple engagement platforms around these shows for the users the browser, 9Apps and UC News.
