LG Urbane Smartwatch Launched in India for INR 29990

Update, May 18, 16:04 : LG has announced its costliest smartwatch, the Urbane in India at a hefty price tag of INR 29,990. The Urbane comes packed with heavy features as well, available in Silver and Gold both the option at Amazon India’s website. This stylish smartwatch comes with a high quality leather strap can also be swapped with any other 22mm straps. It is a water and dust resistant product rated with IP67 certification.

Earlier, Feb 16, 2015, 12:27 : LG has pulled another one of its early surprise and has made the new LG Urbane Smartwatch official, before the MWC 2015. The South Korean electronics giant has introduced an all metal smartwatch ahead of the Apple’s Watch release. While company already has a stylish G Watch R to compete in the market, they have the pump up their chances with this new model.

The LG Urbane may become the best stylish smartwatch if we take a look at the early press images of the device. The new timepiece is a fusion of style and the smartest watch OS, yes we are talking about the Android Wear OS. The device is powered by Google’s powerful wearable operating system. The new model follows in the footsteps of the G Watch R and features a circular design.

Moving on to the spec sheet, the device comes with a 1.3-inch P-OLED display with 320 x 320 pixel resolution, which converts to 245 PPI, making it one of the highest resolution displays on a watch. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, which is supported by a 512MB of RAM. The 4GB internal storage on the device should be sufficient to store enough data for your needs.

The device has a stainless steel body and a leather strap, which can be replaced with any 22mm wide band you like. Company is touting the new Urbane watch as a more formal with the thinner profile, sporting a luxury look. It carries 10.9 mm thickness and is certified with IP67 rating, meaning the device is dust and water resistant.

LG Urbane supports sensors like Gyrometer, Accelerometer, Compass, Barometer, as well as PPG. All this is powered by a 410mAh battery. The would be available in two color variants, Gold Polish, and Polished Silver. Although the pricing and release date of the device is the mystery yet, which is expected to be solved by the MWC event in Barcelona in March.
