The Japanese smartphone brand, Sharp has launched its latest smartphone Aquos Z2 today in Taiwan. The device is priced at NT$ 8,990 (approx $284 / Rs. 19,000) and sports high-end specifications. It sports a metallic built body with a 2.5D glass laid on the front. Just like other affordable mid-range devices, the top and the bottom rear aren’t made up of metal. On the top edge is an IR blaster that can control other home appliances just the remote controller. Below the rear camera is the fingerprint sensor that can also be used as a shutter button in the camera app. Earlier today Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 4 in China with few similar specifications at the half the price of Aquos Z2.

A couple of weeks back, Sharp launched the Aquos M1 smartphone that looks similar to the Xiaomi Mi 5. It comes with a curved back panel, and the camera is placed on the top left corner on the rear. It also sports 5.5-inch Full HD display and is powered by 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6753 processor whereas the Mi 5 came with flagship specifications. It has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage.
