Samsung Galaxy Note 7 with 6GB RAM to cost 6088 Yuan / $914 in China

Samsung launched only the 4GB RAM variant of Galaxy Note 7 at the Galaxy Unpacked event held in New York and the rumored 6GB RAM variant was later spotted on TENAA. We already covered about the launch date of Galaxy Note 7 in India as August 11th and in China, the device is said to be launched on August 26th. The 6GB RAM variant of Galaxy Note 7 is expected to be officially unveiled on that day and will be exclusive to the Chinese market.

The U.S variant of the Galaxy Note 7 is powered by Snapdragon 820 SoC and includes 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. As seen with the Galaxy S7 & S7 Edge, the Galaxy Note 7 that will be made available in China and India will come with in-house Exynos octa-core processor. While there is no information about the pricing of the device in India, today we got to know the Chinese pricing of both the 4GB and 6GB RAM variants.

The Galaxy Note 7 with 4GB RAM will be priced at 5688 Yuan (approx $853 / Rs. 57,100) and the 6GB RAM variant costs 6088 Yuan (approx $914 / Rs. 61,100). The TENAA listing also showed the 6GB RAM variant to feature 128GB of onboard storage. Both the variants include MicroSD card slot for storage expansion additionally upto 256GB. The device runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow based latest TouchWiz UI on top and the upcoming Android 7.0 Nougat update can be expected once it is officially released.

Talking about the specifications, the device sports a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with QuadHD resolution. With IP68 certification, not only the device itself but the S Pen is also both waterproof  and dustproof. The S Pen also works seamlessly on the wet display. It is also the first smartphone from Samsung to feature USB 3.1 Type-C port. The device also supports fast charging via wired and wireless chargers.

On the camera front, the device sports the same 12MP + 5MP sensors as on the Galaxy S7 & S7 Edge. It will be available in Gold Platinum, Silver Titanium, Black Onyx and Blue Coral color options. Apart from the Fingerprint sensor, the Galaxy Note 7 also sports the IRIS sensor on the front for making it even more secure. But the users with glasses and contact lens cannot use the IRIS scanner and need to settle with the fingerprint sensor.

Coming to the India launch, the device will be launched on August 11th while the sales begin from August 19th. Stay tuned on Phoneradar for the official pricing of the Galaxy Note 7.
