And now, we are going to see the release of Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) while some of the users already got hands-on the device.

Compared to Samsung Galaxy J5, Galaxy J2 and other J series smartphones, Galaxy J3 could be the match winner as everyone are eagerly waiting for its launch. With a 5-inch display and Android Lollipop version, this could become one of the best mid-range Android smartphones. In here, we would like to share few tips for the users who bought or planning to purchase this handset. With these tips, you can easily speed up the device for better performance in just 5 minutes.

Download Latest Software

To be provident, manufacturers of the smartphones releases timely updates for the devices which contain fixes for the minor bugs and enhancements to improve the device performance. Same is the case with Samsung where it releases frequent updates for the software through OTA. So, Galaxy J3 (2016) users need to check and install the software updates for the better functionality of the phone.
Usually, the users get the notification about the updates and if not one can check manually by opening ‘Settings>About Device’ and if any software updates are available then download and install the same on the device.

Get Rid of Bloatware

In every Android device, bloatware exists in the form of few pre-installed apps. So, all you need to do is remove the bloatware from the phone for the smoother functionality. Sometimes, pre-installed apps cause an issue with the performance of the device and so it is advised to uninstall such apps. If you do not have an option to uninstall the apps, then try to disable them.

Apart from bloatware, there are few other apps downloaded by the user from the play store which can be useless. So, check all the downloaded apps and uninstall all the unnecessary apps. By doing this, you can help the device to get faster functionality.

Turn off Animations

Another important aspect that can help users to improve the performance of the phone is animation settings. You can able to see these settings after enabling developer options. For that, open ‘Settings>About Device’ and tap few times on ‘Build Number’. Now, the options get enabled, and you can check them under settings now.

Open the ‘Developer Options’ and scroll down to find ‘Window animation scale,’ ‘Transition animation scale’ and ‘Animator duration scale.’ By default, all those were pointed to 1x, so now turn them off by disabling or reduce them to 0.5x for the better functionality. You can revert to old settings by reversing the process at anytime.

Enable Power-saving mode

In Samsung devices, power-saving mode feature helps the user to increase the device performance by reducing the power usage. So, you need to enable this mode by tapping on ‘Settings>Battery>Power Saving mode’ and then enable the mode. Once done, you can see the instant change in the performance of the device. This will even help you in increasing the battery power as well.

No Live Wallpapers and Widgets

Live Wallpapers may enhance the look of the display but at the back end it users more CPU and decreases the functionality of the device. So, we advise you not to use Live Wallpapers instead go for normal or static wallpapers and screensavers which also can enhance the look of the display screen. Also, avoid using widgets on the phone as it also causes the performance issue on the device. If at all you need just use one or two widgets and uninstall the remaining.

Remove App Cache and Wipe Cache Partition

To experience the real speed of your smartphone, you need to clear the cache stored in apps and device. So, for that open each app from the app manager and tap on ‘Clear Cache’ button to remove the app cache. To remove the entire cache from the device, you need to get the phone into recovery mode.

So, turn off the phone and press and hold volume up and home button along with the power rocker at the same time. Now, you will be in recovery mode and in here, use volume buttons for navigation and power rocker for confirming the selection. Next, select and confirm ‘Wipe Cache Partition’ and after the process is done go for ‘Reboot System Now.’ That’s all; now you will have the device which is free from the cache.

Perform Factory Reset

As a last resort, you can perform the factory reset to improve the performance of the phone. But, this process will erase everything on the phone and so you need to take the back up of all the data. Once the backup is done, get your phone into recovery mode as explained above. In here, select and confirm, ‘wipe data/factory reset’ and then ‘Yes – delete all user data’. Once the process is done, go for ‘Reboot System Now’.

The other way you can perform the factory reset is by opening ‘Settings>Backup & Reset>Reset device>Erase everything’ and follow onscreen instructions. That’s all; now you will have a brand new device in your hand and start using the phone again from beginning. By now, you phone should speed up in the performance.

Few Other Tips

If you take few precautionary measures, you can easily improve the functionality of the phone. Always turn off the connections like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and data whenever not in use. Adjust the brightness and rotation of the screen manually instead of auto-option and turn off location/GPS when not in use. Always use original battery chargers for charging the device. Always turn off the data connection when there is no network as it can help the battery to stay longer.
