Samsung has upgraded its mid-range smartphones Galaxy A5 & Galaxy A7 by launching the Galaxy A5 (2016) & Galaxy A7 (2016). In the same way, the company is rumored to update the Galaxy J line-up by launching the Galaxy J5 (2016) & J7 (2016). Recently it has unveiled the Galaxy J1 (2016) & Galaxy J3 smartphones in Brasil, but there is no information about the availability of the devices in other markets.
Last week a new device was imported by Samsung India that comes with the model number SM-J210F. As seen with the model number of other devices, we can expect the device to be called as Galaxy J2 (2016). It will be the successor for the Galaxy J2 that was launched here in India in September last year. Apart from the model number, there is no other information about the Galaxy J2 (2016).

But we can surely expect some upgrades to the Galaxy J2 that came with a 4.7-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) AMOLED display. It is powered by the Exynos 3475 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. The upcoming Galaxy J2 (2016) might feature a 720p display and run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The 2015 edition Galaxy J2 sports a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP selfie camera. It is backed by a 2,000mAh battery and offers dual SIM support.
