Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) Smartphone is now available outside South Korea

The wait for Galaxy A8 is going to end, Samsung is going to make its Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) available outside its home country South Korea. The handset has been listed on Samsung Gulf and Samsung Taiwan websites. It has been priced around $490 in the UAE but nothing is mentioned about the pricing in Taiwan, but it should have similar pricing.

The device was also spotted on the Indian import and export tracking website Zauba which hinted the launch of the same in the country in the month of October, but it didn’t happen to be. We need to wait and see when the device is going to be available in India and other parts of the world.

Coming to the specifications of A8 2016 it will come with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display instead of 5.1-inch and will be sporting an FHD (1920 x 1080 pixels). To power the device there is an Octa-Core 64-bit, 14nm Exynos 7420 processor coupled with Mali T760 GPU and 3GB RAM. On the back, there is a 3300 mAh battery and supports 4G LTE connectivity. The other connectivity options include Bluetooth v4.2 LE, GPS, A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and GLONASS. The device will come in Blue, Grey, and Pink color variants and is priced at $588 (649,000 won / Rs. 39,240) in Korea.

Out of the box with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system out of the box and will come with 32GB of internal memory that can be further extended up to a maximum of 256GB via microSD card. On the camera front, there is a 16MP camera which is accompanied with 8MP camera on the front. It will be powered by an Octa-Core 64-bit, 14nm Exynos 7420 processor coupled with Mali T760 GPU and 3GB RAM. It will compete against the devices like Lenovo K5 Note, Oppo F1S, Xiaomi Mi Max, OnePlus 3, Moto G4 Plus and few more which come with similar specifications.
