Update, November 25 : We finally have the date for the launch of two QiKU handsets in the country; it’s on November 27. The Chinese joint venture firm would be debuting its presence in India day after tomorrow. They are expected to launch their two new handsets; Terra 810 and Terra 808. Earlier, November 6 : QiKU, the new entrant into the smartphone market, was established as a joint venture between Coolpad and Qihoo 360, the maker of the popular 360 security app. It had debuted the Chinese market by launching three smartphones Qiku Terra, Luna and Note. Now the company had officially announced their official entry into the Indian smartphone market by launching the popular Qiku Terra smartphone in two variants named Terra 810 and Terra 808
Both the devices looks similar in design and comes with few different specifications. The Terra 810 comes powered by Snapdragon 810 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage while the Terra 808 comes with Snapdragon 808 with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
On the back, both the device has dual 13MP rear cameras with dual tone LED flash and f/1.8 aperture with which you can focus after capturing the image. It also has an 8MP front-facing camera that can capture detailed selfies. The devices run on Android 5.1 Lollipop based company’s own 360 OS. It also includes additional features for enhanced security of the device.
The two device comes with same 6-inch display while the Terra 810 comes with Quad HD resolution, the Terra 808 comes with Full HD resolution. They also included a fingerprint sensor placed on the rear of the device and it also comes with MicroSD card slot for storage expansion up to 64GB.
While only a few of the major manufacturers are opting for USB Type-C port that increase the data speeds and decrease the charging time, Qiku had had launched all the devices with USB Type-C port. The Terra 810 and Terra 808 supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE connectivity.
