Philippine brand Starmobile launches PLAY Max & PLAY Plus Smartphones

The Philippine handset manufacturer, Starmobile has launched its first Android Marshmallow smartphones with entry-level specifications called as Starmobile Play Max & Starmobile Play Plus smartphones that are priced at Php 3,290 (approx. Rs. 4,642) & Php. 2,290 (around Rs. 3,259) respectively. Both smartphones are listed on their company’s website and are available for purchase via Starmobile concept stores, kiosks, and authorized re-sellers nationwide.

The Starmobile Play Max comes with a big battery while the Play Plus smartphone has a large display. Both devices support Starmobile App Store that you can download Android apps even if you don’t have a google account and also have a Starmobile Care App, which can help you like customer service, updates, tips and virus protection.

Starmobile Play Max:

The device features 5-inch HD IPS touchscreen with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels that offers a 294 PPI of pixel density. Under the hood, it comes powered by a Spreadtrum 7731G quad-core processor that clocks at 1.3 GHz paired with Mali 400 MP2 GPU. The dual SIM smartphone supports 3G connectivity and has an 8 GB internal storage that can expand up to 32 GB via microSD and 1 GB of RAM.

There is an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 5-megapixel front snapper. It can record videos in 720p at 30 frames per second. The device packs massive 4000 mAh capacity battery that is rated to deliver up to 22 hours of talk time and lasts up to 400 hours of standby time. It has a 9.9 mm of thickness and weight is around 159 grams.

This smartphone comes packed with a SUPER PACK 600 and also offers 100MB of free data to Smart Prepaid SIM every month for a year.

Starmobile Play Plus:

It has a 5-inch display with FWVGA resolution and offers a pixel density of 196 PPI. The device is equipped with a quad-core processor that clocks at 1.2 GHz paired 512 MB of RAM. There is a 8 GB built-in memory that can also expand up to 32 GB through microSD. It bears a 5-megapixel primary camera with LED flash, which can record videos in 720p at 30 frames per second. On the front, there is a 2-megapixel secondary camera for selfies.

Powering of the Starmobile Play Plus smartphone is 2000 mAh capacity battery, which claims to give 4 hours of talk time. The device comes with a premium metal brushed finished case and available in three classic color options. It is measured by a 143 x 73.8 x 9.75 mm in dimensions and is weighing 159 grams.
