What are the Screen-off gestures and how can I enable them on Oppo Neo 5?

Many smartphone companies are offering smart gestures on their device, but it’s rare that we see them on a mid-ranger. But Oppo gone out of the box and added some of the popular gestures on Neo 5. There are screen-off gestures supported on Neo 5. To start, you can access them from the Settings, just launch the settings app and scroll down to gesture & motion option under General tab. Tapping on it would open the list of options. Go to screen-off gestures, turn it ON and you’ll have a bunch of gestures available to use right away. Such like double tap to wake up, Draw O to start the camera, as well as you can add a gesture too. Select the black screen gesture you want and then select the function, and you’re good to go.

What are the Screen-On gestures and how can I enable them on Oppo Neo 5?

To turn ON these features, you have to launch the settings app and then head over to the Gesture & Motion option under General tab. Smart call is another of gesture feature available on Neo 5. To enable this, you have to launch the Settings app and head over to the same gesture & motion option under the General tab. Tapping on it would open some options, there you have to open the smart call option. Now you would have four options to play around including, the Easy Dial, Auto-answer by motions, Switch the speaker by motions and flip to mute calls. Last three is easy to understand by their names, but let’s talk more about first, the Easy Dial. It will automatically dial the number available on screen when you hold the phone near to your ear.

What functions does the Battery Manager app offers on the Oppo Neo 5?

A battery manager is always required on an Android smartphone, because of a fact that their battery life doesn’t last longer unless it’s optimized. The battery manager feature offers that help on Neo 5. To use this app, you have to launch the Settings app and head over to the battery manager under general settings. Now you have various options to optimize the battery performance. You can use the normal power saving mode, can switch to Super Power saving mode, which would only allow you to use the basic functions such as calling and texting. Moreover, you can also opt to get automatically switch to super power mode once the battery is lower than 10%. As well as a reminder for when the battery is less than 40%.

How to Enable OTG feature on the Oppo Neo 5?

This is an unexpected feature that is usually not available on the device because you either add a support of OTG or you either not. But Oppo finds it useful to add a function that would enable and disable the OTG support on the device. To use this feature, you have to launch the Settings app and head over to the More option available under the general tab. Tapping on it would open a set of options, but you’re concerned with OTG, so switch the toggle button in front of it to ON. There you go, now OTG on your device would be detected.

Many smartphone users likes to customize their smartphone, whether it is from outside or inside. Oppo Neo 5 allows you to customize the wallpapers, especially with a blur effect. To enable this feature, you have to launch the Settings app and head over to the Display tab. Now tapping on wallpapers would take you to a set of options, there you can enable the blur effect by toggling the switch to ON. That’s it; now you can blur the home screen wallpaper by double tapping on the empty home screen.

How to Change the Screen Lock style on the Oppo Neo 5?

Changing the lock screen style is very easy on Oppo Neo 5, you just have to launch the settings and head over to the display tab. There you’ll have to tap on the wallpapers options, as then you’ll see more listed option. Among them, you’ll see Screen lock style option, tap on it and choose from the styles you like. You could either go with pre-installed apps, as well as download some themes online. It’s that simple.

How to Prevent Misoperation on the Oppo Neo 5?

This is often quite a useful feature allow users to prevent misoperation while their device is in pockets. To enable this feature, you have to launch the settings app and then head over to the Gesture & motion option under General tab. Now toggle the switch button to ON.
