Oppo announced its new smartphone in the Mirror series, the Mirror 5s, which is a mid-range smartphone from the Chinese manufacturer. The device that was to be announced in the second week of the July according to the rumors has already been unveiled by the company in a Taiwan today.

The new smartphone from Oppo features a reflective crystal pattern on its back and is quite the charmer with its specification lineup, although, not much different design than its previous iteration, as well as somewhat similar to its Neo 5 & 5s handset, which was launched last month.

Talking about the specifications, it sports 5-inch HD (1280 x 720) Display and is powered by a Quad-Core Snapdragon 410 processor, packing 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage on board, which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. In terms of the camera department, the device flaunts an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front facing camera for selfie lovers.

Moreover, it runs on the latest Color OS 2.1, which based on Android Lollipop 5.1 OS and thus making it the only Oppo device to pack latest Android-based OS coming out of the box. It offers all the basic connectivity features as well as supports 4G LTE too. To power this device, company has placed a 2420 mAh capacity battery inside, which is as large as it gets on an Oppo device.

All this is impressive as these days many companies are focusing on the mid-range smartphone market, which is all well and good for the consumers too. It would be interesting to see this device come to India, which is already crowded with devices packing similar specifications. The pricing and availaability of the device is still unknown for now.
