Last month, Meizu has officially launched the Meizu M5 as the successor to Meizu M3. The company has skipped Meizu M4 naming since the number 4 is considered as unlucky in China. Now, the company might launch its elder sibling the Meizu M5 Note at the event scheduled for November 30th. Earlier leaks suggest the company to launch all new Meizu X smartphone and Meizu tablet alongside the affordable Meizu M5 Note. However, the listing of the Meizu M5 Note TENAA unofficially confirmed the M5 Note launch at their upcoming event. The three variants with the model numbers M621Q, M621C, and M621M comes with similar design and specifications except for the different storage and RAM capacities.

The M5 Note sports an all metal body and the volume rocker and power button are placed on the right edge of the device. The 2GB, 3GB, and 4GB RAM variants will be shipped with 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB of internal storage respectively. It sports a 5.5-inch TFT display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. With the Meizu M3 Note, the company shifted from using plastic in favor of metal. Under the hood, the device will be powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz. As seen with its earlier devices, we expect the company to use MediaTek processor. Since the company will also unveil its latest Flyme 6 OS on stage, the M5 Note might come with the latest Flyme 6 OS out of the box.

Apart from offering different storage options, there will also be a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion. Coming to the camera department, there will be a 13MP rear camera with dual tone LED flash and a 5MP front camera. The device supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G VoLTE. It is backed by a 4,000mAh non-removable battery that gives more than a day of usage. The M5 Note measures 153.6 x 75.8 x 8.15 mm and weighs 175 grams. The mBack home button on the front also houses the fingerprint sensor for unlocking the device. It will be available in quite a few color combinations with including White, Black, Gray, Blue, and Silver.

The Meizu M5 that was launched last month in China is priced at 699 Yuan for the 2GB RAM variant. It comes with a plastic body and packs some decent specifications. It comes with a 5.2-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display and 2.5D glass on top. The device is powered by the MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. While the 2GB RAM comes with 16GB of storage, there is also a 3GB RAM variant with 32GB of storage. It also offers 13MP rear camera with PDAF, LED flash, and f/2.2 aperture. For selfies, there is a 5MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture. The 3,070mAh battery on this device can last more than a day with its less powerful specifications. It runs on Flyme 5.5 OS based on Yun OS.

We don’t have information regarding the launch of Meizu M5 or M5 Note in the Indian market. The company is selling only the M3 Note that was launched in the first half of this year. It is priced at Rs. 10,499 and is available in Gray, Gold, and Silver color options on Amazon India. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details about the upcoming Meizu smartphones.
