Earlier today Meizu has confirmed the launch date of the Meizu M3 Note as April 6. Apart from the M3 Note, Meizu has confirmed to launch the flagship Pro 6 smartphone in the second half of 2016. Now the leaked data reveals the important information of seven smartphones that will be launched in 2016. The list includes Meizu M3, M3 Note, Meizu Metal 2, MX6, MX6 Mini, Pro 6, and Pro 6 Mini. All the devices come with MediaTek processor expect the Pro 6 series.
Meizu M3, the successor of the Meizu M2 will be most affordable device offered by Meizu in 2016. It comes with a poly-carbonate body and will be available in 16GB and 32GB storage variants. The device features a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) LCD display and there is no information mentioned about the processor. It has 2GB of RAM and is backed by a 2,800mAh battery. Talking about the pricing, the 16GB variant will be priced at 599 Yuan (approx $92 / Rs. 6,150) while the 32GB variant costs 799 Yuan (approx $123 / Rs. 8,200).
As seen with the earlier devices, the Meizu M3 Note will be the larger variant of M3 Note. The device might feature the same design as Meizu M3. It sports a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution display and is powered by Helio P10 octa-core processor. It has 2GB of RAM and will be available in two storage options – 16GB and 32GB. The device comes with a poly carbonate body and is backed by a 3,200mAh battery. The 16GB variant of M3 Note comes with a price tag of 799 Yuan (approx $123 / Rs. 8,200) while the 32GB variant costs 999Yuan (approx $154 / Rs. 10,250).
After launching the Meizu Pro 5, the company has unveiled a new smartphone called as Meizu Metal. Now the leaks suggest the launch of its successor Meizu Metal 2 which comes with some upgraded specs when compared with the M3 Note. It comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD display and is includes an Helio X20 deca-core processor. As the name suggests, the device comes with an all metal body. There will be 3GB of RAM and has 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB of internal storage.
The device is backed by a 3,200mAh and supports 18W fast charging which is missing in the M3 Note. It sports mTouch 3.0 fingerprint sensor integrated into the mBack home button. The 16GB variant of Meizu Metal 2 will be priced at 999 Yuan while the 32GB and 64GB cost 1,199 Yuan and 1,499 Yuan respectively.
Meizu MX6 & MX6 Mini
Meizu MX has been one of the best affordable flagship in 2015. Now the company will be launching the Meizu MX6 along with smaller sibling MX6 Mini. Both the devices come with metal build body. While the MX6 comes with a 5.5-inch display while the MX Mini comes with 4.7-inch display. Both the variants come with Ful HD resolution Super AMOLED display and includes Helio X20 deca-core processor. There is 4GB of RAM and comes with three different storage variants – 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB.
The MX6 is backed by a 3,300mAh battery while the MX Mini comes with a 2,800mAh battery. It also supports fast charging with the 24W power adapter. The devices have an mTouch 3.0 fingerprint sensor embed into the physical home button. It has NFC connectivity and with the fingerprint sensor, the devices can be used for virtual payments. The Meizu MX6 starts from 1,799 Yuan (approx $277 / Rs. 18,500) while the MX6 Mini starts from 1,499 Yuan (approx $230 / Rs. 15,500).
Meizu Pro 6 & Pro 6 Mini
The Meizu Pro 6 & Pro 6 Mini will be the flagship devices from the company for 2016. While the Pro 6 is earlier said to come with Helio X25 deca-core SoC, now the leaked data shows the Pro 6 Mini to come with Helio X25 SoC while the Pro 6 will feature Samsung’s Exynos 8890 octa-core processor. The Pro 6 features a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Quad HD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels) and 3D Touch support. And the smaller Pro 6 Mini comes with a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED display Full HD resolution.
Both the devices come in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants and sports UFS 3.0 storage that comes with faster data transfer speeds. The devices will be available in 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB storage variants. There will also be mTouch 3.1 fingerprint sensor and Hi-Fi 3.0 chip for a rich sound experience. The Pro 6 comes with a 3,500mAh battery, and the Pro 6 Mini comes with a 2,800mAh battery. They also support fast charging with the provided 30W power adapter.
The Pro 6 will be priced at 2,799 Yuan (approx $430 / Rs. 28,750) for 32GB variant and 3099 Yuan (approx $476 / Rs. 31,900) and 3499 Yuan (approx $538 / Rs. 36,000) for 64GB and 128GB variants respectively. On the other hand the smaller Pro 6 Mini will cost you 2,299 Yuan (approx $353 / Rs. 23,600) for 32GB storage variant, while the 64GB and 128GB storage varianst costs 2,599 Yuan (approx $400 / Rs. 26,700) and 2,999 Yuan (approx $461 / Rs. 30,800) respectively.
The Meizu M3 and M3 Note can be expected to launch at the April 6th event. As of now, there is no information about the launch of other devices from Meizu. Stay tuned for more information in the coming days.
