Reliance’s LYF debuted the smartphone market in India last year and had received immense popularity and now stands as the fifth largest smartphone brand in India with a market share of 7.1%. The brand has tasted tremendous success in a short time because of its offerings in almost all price segments. Today,  LYF has launched yet another pocket-friendly device in its Flame series called as LYF Flame 4. The device comes with slightly downgraded specifications when compared to Flame 3 that released recently.

Coming to the specifications part, the Flame 4 features a 4-inch (480×800 pixels) WVGA TN display with 225ppi as pixel density and Asahi DragonTrail Glass laid on top for protection. Under the hood, it packs unspecified quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz paired with Mali-400 MP2 GPU and 512MB of RAM. The dual sim dual standby supported device includes standard connectivity options like 4G-LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth and microUSB 2.0 port.

It has 8GB of onboard storage and also includes an externalSD card option for further expansion of memory upto 32GB. On the camera section, the smartphone comes equipped with a 2MP rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3MP VGA front-facing camera for selfie images. The camera on the device comes with various features like burst mode, slow motion, smile shutter and is capable of recording videos in 720p resolution at  30fps.  It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box and we cannot expect it to be upgraded to latest Android Marshmallow.

The handset powers a slightly smaller 1400mAh battery that is rated to offer upto 4.5 hours of talk time and upto 150 hours of standby time. Like other LYF devices, the Flame 4 also comes with various pre-installed Jio apps and additionally has support for 10 regional languages. The dimensions of the smartphone measure 122.5 x 64.4 x 10.25 mm weighs around 117 grams and is available in Black color option. The LYF Flame 4 priced at Rs. 3,999 is one of the cheapest smartphones with 4G-LTE support and is available for purchase via authorised retailers across the country.

Earlier this week, the company had launched a smartphone called as LYF Flame 3 priced at Rs. 3,999 and was the cheapest 4G-LTE smartphone. The 4G-LTE enabled smartphone comes with entry-level specifications like 4-inch WVGA display, 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 5MP primary camera, 2MP front snapper, VoLTE support, 1700mAh battery and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the  box.
