Lumigon, a Danish company, has launched a smartphone that is being touted as the marine soldier of the mobile phones. The Lumigon T3 is a tough guy that has a body constructed from a marine-grade 316 stainless steel, which makes it one of the toughest smartphones out there in the market. With a unique design aesthetics, the device is something to be drooled at. Moreover, if you want a smartphone to be tougher in wildlife, well, adding water and dust resistant features are a must, and that is what company has done here.
The T3 smartphone has a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED display with a 720p resolution that has a double tap to wake up functionality and BackTouch. It is powered by a reportedly Ultra-fast 64-bit Octa-core processor clocking at 2.2GHz, although the exact chipset name is not revealed yet. It is accompanied by a 3GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage; there is no mention of microSD card slot for storage expansion. Company touts it runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow with software upgrade over the air and having multiple language support.
In terms of camera package, the rear sensor has a 13-megapixel resolution and sports a dual-tone flash. That’s not it has a dual camera setup on back, the secondary sensor on the back has a 4MP resolution but is capable of shooting in extremely dark conditions with infrared flash support. The main camera can shoot up to 4K videos and 120fps slow motion videos; it features a PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus). Talking about the front module, it has a 5MP resolution with flash as well.
The device has a 360-degree fingerprint sensor, as well as another set of interesting sensors like to measure height, temperature, light and hand-wave. Regarding the connectivity, it has a GPS with GLONASS, Beidou, and ANT+ for accurate location tracking. The device can support 4G LTE network with dual nano SIM. Other connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, Wi-Fi, Infrared and external HDM via MHL.
The Lumigon T3 will be available for purchase coming weeks at $925 or £630 as its starting price, which goes up to $1200 (£820) when it comes to Black Gold Edition. Note that there are more variants like Black Black, White Diamond and White Gold, which will be costlier than above two models mentioned.
