LG X5, X Power, X Skin Smartphones Launched in South Korea

LG had earlier trademarked the X5, which hinted about the low spec variant of flagship LG G5. Now the LG X5 along with LG X Power and X Skin are officially launched in South Korea. The LG X5 measures just 7.2mm thickness and weighs 133 grams. It comes with a polycarbonate body and a 2.5D glass laid on top. The device is priced at KRW 200,000 (approx $173 / Rs. 11,700) and will be available soon in the market.

The LG X5 sports a 5.5-inch with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution. Under the hood is the unknown quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. It includes 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage that can be further expandable via Micro SD card slot upto 32GB. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box with the latest UX UI laid on top. It is backed by a 2,800mAh removable battery that can give at least a day of usage.

In the camera department, the LG X5 sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP selfie camera on the front. The device comes with dual SIM dual standby and offers high-speed 4G LTE. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. It will be available in White, Indigo, and Black color options.  The device measures 151.6 x 76.9 x 7.2 mm and weighs 133 grams.

On the other hand, the LG X Power and X Skin are priced at KRW 200,00 (approx $173) and KRW 231,000 (approx $199 / Rs. 13,400) respectively. The LG X Power priced same as LG X5 comes with 5.3-inch HD display and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor. Though it has similar specifications as LG X5, the LG X power is backed by a 4,100mAh battery. The LG X Skin, costliest among the list comes with least powerful specifications. It has a 5-inch HD display and includes just 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB storage.

In the camera department, the X Skin has an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The device is kept powered on by a 2,100mAh battery. Just like the X5, the X Power, and X Skin also offers 4G LTE and NFC connectivity. Apart from LG X5 the rest of the device were already announced and are also available in few markets. As of now, there is no information about the availability of these devices in the Indian market.

    Some decent budget phones from LG, but still they will struggle to sell these in India, if launched here, as there are better options available in these price range.

    I’m pretty sure that LG would never be able to launch the device with the similar pricing in India.They will price it on higher side and even if they manage to launch it on the same price as mentioned,we still have way better options available at similar pricing.
