The South Korean giant, LG Mobiles is rolling out a major software update in the form of Android 6.0 Marshmallow to its LG Class smartphone, which is also known as LG Zero. The handset that was launched last year sometime in October. This metal case mid-range smartphone from company is getting Marshmallow love.
This year LG has been busy marketing their latest flagship, the G5 and its friends (accessories), known as LG G5 Friends in the United States and their home country. The premium handset is yet to be launched in several Asian countries including India. This major software update for LG Class is rolling out for users in the home country as the LG Mobile’s Korean website posted this information.
In terms of the change log, the significant improvements are the operating system, as it gets updated to Android 6.0, which is a Marshmallow OS. After updating to this, you should be noticing a lot of changes, some operating system based while some according to the customized UX Company offers. As well as there are some additional features introduced in this update for the LG Class users for the first time.
The operating system based changes include restriction of background data when you’re not using it for a long time. It should be helpful in consuming battery life. The Knock Code service by brand has been further optimized for better usage. There are enhanced security update to access the functionality of other apps when you’re currently using or limiting possibility. Some improvements in Time were sharing and changes in the settings for notifications and sounds.
While talking about the UX level changes, there is an introduction of Automatic brightness control, which should improve the viewing experience in different lighting conditions. It has now become much easier to view reminders as well as manage Google settings. You should be also able to quickly setup all of your apps on an integrated screen. Moreover, there is now a better way to check memory as well. The additional changes we were talking about includes change of name, Q+ is now called Memo Capture+, while the LG Bridge is now renamed as LG AirDrive.
