Lenovo A6000

Update: Lenovo has finally launched the Snapdragon 410 smartphone at the CES 2015, and this is the budget smartphone the company was about to launch as the competitor to Yu Yureka and Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G, as the device supports 4G LTE connectivity. It’s named the Lenovo A6000 and it is no much different from the Lenovo K3. The price is set at Rs. 6999 and that is one of the most aggressive pricing in the recent times, apart from what we had seen for the Yureka smartphone. For the specs, the device has a 5-inch 720p display with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. The cameras included are a 8-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The smartphone boasts Dual speakers with Dolby Digital Plus technology, and the battery included has a capacity of 2300 mAh which according to them, has a talktime of 13 hours and about 11.5 days of standby time. [Latest Price of Lenovo A6000 – [amazon_link asins=’B00WJTZ2KS’ template=’PriceLink’ store=’prblog02-21′ marketplace=’IN’ link_id=’997439c3-ded5-11e6-952a-21bb5e95cff6′]]

The spec sheet at the CES 2015 doesn’t show the TDD LTE band support for India, but we expect that in the device that will be available via Flipkart, later. The connectivity options include Wi-Fi, LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, and there are Dual SIM card slots.

The A6000 runs Android 4.4 KitKat and it is the Vibe 2.0 UI layered over, with some pre-installed apps. The launch in India is imminent, and we feel it will be priced even more aggressively when it is launched at Flipkart.

The A6000 goes on sale on 28th January 2015, and the registration for the same starts on 16th Jan from 6 p.m.

Earlier:
Lenovo was probably the only brand that hadn’t come up with a strong competition in the budget range, except for the S580, but the company is now ready to launch a smartphone with an aggressive pricing, and as we learn from our sources, it could well be priced at the same range of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G and Yu Yureka, but the pricing details are not totally confirmed.

We are also getting to learn that the Lenovo K3 smartphone, that is already official in China, is what Lenovo is preparing to announce. Not a bad device at all, we’d say.

Update: We’ve got the invite for the press conference to be held at CES 2015, Las Vegas. Stay tuned for the update on this.

The only information we got to know is about the processor, i.e. the Snapdragon 410 chipset (Qualcomm’s first 64-bit mobile system on a chip) with clocking speed of 1.4 GHz, and Adreno 306 GPU. It supports CAT4 4G LTE and there are plenty of devices already running on this, including Alcatel OneTouch Pop 2, Samsung Galaxy A5, Samsung Galaxy A3, ZTE V5 Max and Lenovo Vibe Z2.  [Latest Price of Lenovo A6000 – [amazon_link asins=’B00WJTZ2KS’ template=’PriceLink’ store=’prblog02-21′ marketplace=’IN’ link_id=’997439c3-ded5-11e6-952a-21bb5e95cff6′]]

Just a week from now, this smartphone is going to be launched and showcased at the CES 2015 event in Las Vegas. We are going to attend the event, thus you’d be soon getting to know our initial thoughts about the smartphone.

If the price is kept under Rs. 10000, this device surely will give the others a hard time, given that although the 4G connectivity won’t be the selling factor, the 64-bit Snapdragon 410 chipset is good enough for a good performance, and the device comes from a brand well known already.

  • so this would mean worthy direct competitors to Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G and Yu Yureka. Thats good and the cool 64 bit processing chip is a brilliant factor for this phone and a great selling factor to bring this 410 processor packed phone to the top of its competitors. And of course it will all come down to pricing.

  • There is going to be a hard competition between the brands which are just emerged with their fantastic devices and pricing. But some of them are Chinese, Chinese brands are offering their devices at the prices that we can’t imagine ( I am concerned about our privacy which is sent by these devices to China) .

It is another good budget phone awaiting to be launched and now going to be hard for consumers to choose one. If the price would be under 10k then for sure it’s going to be a tempter. I’m also excited for this device. But if in fact the price bracket is same as either Redmi note or Yureka then one thing could I expect that this phone would be also on flash sell or they avoid this. However it’s great to hear that after Droidcon you’re going to cover the CES 2015. This is another great approach by PhoneRadar and I really want to get more and more from you about technology. And this is apparent that PhoneRadar is achieving a new milestone day by day and I’m sure your next stoppage would be at MWC. My best wishes with you!! 🙂

Lenovo is going great . another great competitor in budget category . pricing is the factor to lookout for.

    • definitey and they were able to make the best tablet of the year so they are in prime position for a successful 2015!

ohhh Lenovo is picking the route into the bargin phones and i think that is a great choice. I think people right now will pick up a Samsung or Iphone than any other phone right now and Lenovo is smart to be selling devices in the mid range zone. Samsung and Apple have no chance in providing prices this low and if this device stays under 200 dollars it great competion to Motorola and other cell phone companys like Micro max. This is going to be a phone to look out for and i cant wait for it

  • Haven’t heard much about the K3 but if its not a bad device at all and will be priced in the range of the Yu and Redmi Note 4 it will be a tough competition to chose from. Lenovo will need something to differentiate itself!

  • Lag will be their in SNAPDRAGON 410.
