Lenovo K10 Smartphone with 5″ HD Display & 2GB RAM Launched at $80

In July this year, a new affordable Lenovo smartphone with the model number K10e70 is listed on TENAA. Then the rumors suggested the device to be called as K5 Lite, but instead the company has launched it has Lenovo K10. The device looks similar to the popular K3 Note that was launched in 2015. Unlike the K4 Note and K5 Note smartphones that are launched in 2016, the Lenovo K10 features basic specifications along with a polycarbonate body. It is priced at just 549 Yuan (approx $80 / Rs. 5,400) and comes in White, Black, Blue, Pink, Red, Yellow, and Green color options.

The Lenovo K10 sports a 5-inch IPS display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution. It is powered by Snapdragon quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. There is a MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage. It is a dual SIM dual standby device and supports TD and FDD LTE, making the device usable on all the 4G network carriers. On the camera front, there is an 8 MP rear camera with dual tone LED flash and a 2MP front camera for selfies. The loudspeaker is placed on the bottom rear of the device and the MicroUSB port and 3.5 audio port are placed on the top edge of the device.

Below the display, we can find the three capacitive touch buttons for back, home, and multi-tasking. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with highly customized Vibe UI laid on top. The device is backed by a 2,300mAh battery that is rated to deliver 12 hours of talk time and lasts upto 200 hours on standby. It measures 7.9 mm thickness and weighs 145 grams. Earlier to this, Lenovo also launched the 1GB RAM variant of Lenovo K10 with just 8GB of storage. It is currently retailing at 450 Yuan (approx $66/ Rs. 4,400) and is available in White and Black colors.

Lenovo also launched the Moto M and Vibe P2 smartphones today in China. In India, they launched the Phab 2 Plus priced at Rs. 14,999. It will be on sale starting from today exclusively on Amazon India. It comes with a 2.5D 6.4-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display and includes MediaTek MT8783 octa-core processor. The metal build device also features 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. It has 13MP dual rear cameras on the rear with augmented reality support and an 8MP selfie camera on the front.

With all these specifications, the device is kept powered on by a 4,050mAh battery and should last at least day of mixed usage. The Phab 2 Plus also offers surround audio output with Dolby Atmos support. It was first showcased at the Lenovo Tech World event held in the first half of 2016. At that event, the company has unveiled the Phab 2, Phab 2 Plus, and Phab 2 Pro (Tango Phone). However, only the Phab 2 Plus is launched here in India, and there is no information about the launch of the other two devices.
