Intex Aqua GenX with 1080p Display & Metal Body Launched at Rs. 13,299

Intex Aqua GenX is the latest smartphone from the Indian smartphone maker Intex. While the YU Yutopia that was also unveiled today is considered to be true flagship by an Indian manufacturer, the company dubbed the Aqua GenX as the flahsip device for the Aqua lineup of devices. It comes with some competative mid-range specifications along with sturdy metal unibody.

The device features a 5.5-inch IPS display with Full HD resolution and is protected by Dragon Trail Glass aganist the scratches. It is powered by MediaTek MT6753 octa-core procesor clocked at 1.3GHz along with 2GB of RAM. It has 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion upto 128GB.

Speaking about the device, Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Mobile Business Head, Intex Technologies said,

It supports dual SIM dual standby and is backed 2,850mAh Li-Poly battery. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop along with a few pre-installed bloatware apps. On the camera side, it has a 13MP rear camera with Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) and LED flash for quick focusing. The 5MP front-facing camera camera can capture decent selfies.

The Matrabhasha service will give accces to the users to communicate in 21 different regional languages. Apart from the power button and volume rocker, the Aqua GenX also includes an additonal physical button called as Q-Key on the roght side of the device. The users can customize the key to open a ceratin app with just one press. The device measures 8.4mm thick and weighs 175 grams.

Connectivity on this device includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, HotKnot, GPS/A-GPS, and MIcroUSB 2.0. It will be available in Silver and Champagne colors. The device is priced agrressively at Rs. 13,299 and can be purchased offline through retail and branded mobile stores.
