Recently Honor has launched the Honor Holly 2 Plus smartphone in India as the successor for the Honor Holly. While this is the same device that was launched in early October 2015 last in China as Huawei Enjoy 5, now the company has internationally announced the same device as Huawei Y6 Pro. It will be the successor for the Huawei Y6 which is the international variant of Honor 4A.
The device comes with a polycarbonate body with a chrome finished metal frame around it. It comes with a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720) display and is powered by a MediaTek MT6735P quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. The device includes 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage along with a MicroSD card slot. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with EMUI 3.1 laid on top.
There is a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash; and a 5MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture and 84-degree wide-angle lens on the front. The device comes with dual SIM dual standby and we aren’t sure about the CDMA network support that was available on Honor Holly 2 Plus. It is backed by a 4,000mAh battery that is rated to deliver 660 hours on standby.
It also supports fast charging with the provided 5V/2A adapter, where it can give 3 hours of talk time with just 10 minutes of charging. By enabling the Smart Power 3.0, the device is optimized to give 30% more battery life. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, and a MicroUSB port. The device measures 143.1 x 71.8 x 9.7 mm and weighs 160 grams.
While the device is already available in few Asian countries, the Huawei Y6 Pro is set to be launched specifically for western countries. It is said to be available in White, Grey and Gold color options. As of now there are no details regarding the price and availability. Stay tuned for more updates in the coming days.
